Nowadays, the way of burning is usually divided into offline burning and online burning.
Offline burning: through the adapter and the different chip links, the chip and adapter can be used in order to achieve the burning of the program. The nature of the adapter is similar to that of a precision fixture. Different packages need different adaptors. If there is a mistake in the production test and revise the production backtracking, it is necessary to disassemble the chip from the adapter and burn it according to the prescribed process. It costs a lot of manpower and material resources, the cost is high, and the problem is easy to appear, so it is generally not recommended for off-line burning.
Online burning: Online burning is a standard communication bus for chips, such as USB, SWD, JTAG, UART and so on. The interface is usually fixed, and there are few feet that need to be connected when burning. Because the interface communication rate is not high, the general wire rod can be used to complete the recording without high consumption. Online burning is through wire rod connection for program burning, if the production test is found to be wrong, re - burn, no need to disassemble the chip. It not only saves production costs, but also increases the efficiency of burning. So nowadays, online burning is usually adopted.
